What comes first?

I don't believe I've ever been so overwhelmed by what to address first.  We are such a wonderful people, Americans.  We have heart that encompasses empathy for all. Unfortunately, we are too humble to even expect appreciation, a sense of balance to the giving that is expected of us.  We can't even mark where what we give comes from, USA, let alone help to deliver it and make sure those in need are the recipients as planned. We had it stuck in our ear for sixty years that somehow it was "our" responsibility to rebuild Europe, Japan, Phillipines, anywhere and every where blasted by WWII.  For sixty years we had to abide trade deficients in unfair export taxes placed upon America that were forgone for those importing into America.  Because?  Because human nature has become twisted.  The more you give the more you are expected to give and we better never expect anything in return let alone even a Thanks.  We allow anyone and everyone into our country pretty much by the numbers.  We allow you also to come to our country and pretend and expect and demand that it is your own.  If you can't speak our language, well then we better speak yours and provide any and all services you might need to live here regardless of your legality of being here or contributing in thanks for having the opportunities being American offers.  We somehow have come to owe everybody everything and it seems too much for many in the world to even offer minor respect for allowing so many so much.  This is tiring and rude, and when you really think about it, pretty stupid.
Attempting to be all things to all people, understand every scenerio that comes down the pike is impossible at best and significantlly not necessary.  It is not necessary to be all, it is necessary to understand boundaries and limits and not budge on those.  You aren't suppose to understand why some maniac harms, rapes or hurts in any manner a child.  You are suppose to stand on that boundary with your life by saying simply, NO.  You don't have to tolerate all, some things in this Universe were intended for lifetime contemplation, yes, but not surrender in the name of understanding.

Boundaries and limits, common sense, all the old wives tales and cliches are in place throughout time for damn good reasons.  Civilization, peace and harmony are only possible when you stand your ground and set limits that serve the greater good.  Attorneys, my opinion and thank God I am allowed it, have turned and twisted how one determines what that greater good truly is.  Justice and our courts have become stages for concerts in ego, nothing to do with the greater good but if you can keep that debate and loophole finding alive you can surely slaughter truth.  We have lost our common sense beyond the pale when it can be so bad you have the crime on video because now everything it seems is taped, photographed, and in usually gut spilling can't wait tech without a conscience, posted immediately for all to see, and with the right lawyer the criminal can walk on a "technicality"....

We act like "nothing I can do about it", is somehow an answer.  We are suppose to have imput via our elected officials. However, due to greed, corruption and the endless funds of corporate wealth (that pretty much took a bad turn years ago allowing middle class pensions to be wiped out yet don't touch CEO multigazillion dollar perks cause that seems fair...)  Now we are represented by the elite.  Cannot afford to be in the inner loop of the Beltway if you are just a hard working, middle class American.  I am sure there is always something we can do, but like many others I am so damn sick of living doing the right thing, by the rules, and being done in by the "special ones" in DC that i just can't find the way yet. Special privilege, special benefits, special food, special rides, special protection, ooo, just specialspecialspecial.  Makes me pissed and sick all at once.  They are just so damn special...And now that they have made it political policy for themselves to be special how do you stop it? I will admit, got me , I don't have a clue how to truly be heard, to bring about change, to make America as a government behave like just plain old, not special, regular Americans do every day of our lives.  I do know though, it must or we all lose.

I am sick of sitting back regardless of what is going on and not having a voice.  I can't stand knowing things like, ooo, might not want to ____ where we eat, old, old proverb you know?  Dumping our waste in our oceans and rivers, blackening our air knowingly with chemicals and pollutants that are bad for all who breath.  I am sick of ruthless wealth blinding a country that is to be for and by its people.  I am never tired of being American, but I am damn tired of being walked on, unappreciated, and used.  So what next, don't know, but I'm working on it.
